BigBulbs Instructions
Required Components:
- 2 Base Halves: One with a clip side and one without (black)
- 2 Socket Retainer Halves (white)
- 4 Screws
- Light String Socket
- Bulb
- Phillips Screwdriver (not included)
Step 1: Prepare the Base
- Gather Materials: Ensure you have all the required components before starting.
- Position the Socket: Take the base half without the clip and insert the light string socket into this base half.
- Align the Cord: Carefully align the cord coming from the "T" of the string light into the slotted opening at the bottom of the base half. This ensures that the cord sits securely and does not interfere with the assembly.
Step 2: Insert Socket Retainers
- Prepare Retainers: Take the two socket retainer halves and position them around the light string socket.
- Seat Retainers: Push the retainers down until they rest snugly against the lip inside the base. Depending on the length of the wire from the "T", the fit may be tight or slightly loose. This is normal, and with gentle pressure, the retainers should fit securely.
- Orientation Tip: For easier assembly, position the retainer halves at a 90-degree angle to the base halves.
Step 3: Assemble the Base
- Top Base Placement: Take the other base half (the one with the clip) and place it on top of the assembly. Ensure the wire is properly aligned in the slot at the bottom and the socket retainers are correctly seated.
- Insert Screws: Insert the four screws into their respective holes. Begin threading them in, but do not fully tighten them yet. Keeping them loose will allow for final adjustments.
Step 4: Insert the Bulb
- Open the Base Halves Slightly: Gently spread the two halves of the base apart just enough to allow the bulb to be inserted.
- Seat the Bulb: Carefully insert the bulb into the base opening, ensuring that it sits securely in the groove inside the base.
- Close the Base Halves: Once the bulb is properly seated, press the two base halves together so they fit snugly.
Step 5: Final Assembly
- Tighten the Screws: With the bulb in place, go back and tighten the four screws securely. Ensure that the base halves are flush and that there are no gaps.
- Check Your Work: Double-check that the wire is properly aligned in the slot and that the socket and bulb are securely seated.
